TEMA, Ghana (Nov. 18, 2007) -- Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Jay Collette, directs the crane operator to lift the truck higher, while members of deck department unload vehicles and equipment from the hull of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43). The equipment is being used by Navy Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 40 to build a hospital in Tema as part of the Africa Partnership Station (APS). APS is scheduled to bring international training teams to Senegal, Liberia, Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon, and Sao Tome and Principe, and will support more than 20 humanitarian assistance projects in addition to hosting information exchanges and training with partner nations during its seven-month deployment.
