SAN DIEGO (May 31, 2007) -- Dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) transits toward Naval Base San Diego returning from a twice-extended deployment to the Western Pacific. The homecoming marks the end of a nearly nine-month deployment to conduct maritime operations in the Persian Gulf and transport the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
