SASEBO, Japan (Oct. 1, 2007) -- A light amphibious resupply cargo (LARC) enters the well deck of dock landing ship aboard USS Tortuga (LSD 46) while anchored off the coast of Japan. Tortuga serves under Expeditionary Strike Group 7/Task Force 76, the NavyÕs only permanently forward-deployed amphibious force. ESG 7/Task Force 76 is headquartered at White Beach Naval Facility, Okinawa, Japan, with an operating detachment in Sasebo, Japan.
