USS TORTUGA ( LSD 46), Tokyo, Japan (March 12, 2006) -- A Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) carrying Japanese evacuation drill participants prepares to enter the well deck of USS Tortuga (LSD 46).  Tortuga is a dock landing ship serving under Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 7/Task Force 76, the Navy’s only forward-deployed amphibious force is in Tokyo to participate in the evacuation phase of this year's Tokyo Metropolitan Government disaster relief drill, meant to sustain relationships between the U.S. and Japan while enhancing joint readiness among their forces.
