TOKYO (Sept. 1, 2007) -- Sailors from Beach Master Unit (BMU) 1 stand by as a landing craft air cushion (LCAC) enters the well-deck of dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) during a Japan and Tokyo Metropolitan Government disaster relief drill. Exercises such as this allow the U.S. Navy and Japan Maritime Self Defense Force to be ready to respond if and when called upon to do so. This is the second year that the U.S. Navy has participated in this type of drill. U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Bryan Reckard (RELEASED)
