PACIFIC OCEAN (May 29, 2008) -- The amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46), along with other ships of the U.S. and Philippines navies begin their first day of maritime exercises during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2008. The United States and the Republic of the Philippines naval forces are working together on a variety of at-sea and land based exercises and activities.
