GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 11, 2009) -- An amphibious assault vehicle
assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) approaches
the stern of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) as
it prepares to enter the ship's well-deck. Tortuga and the 31st MEU are
taking part in exercise Cobra Gold, which is an annual Thailand and
U.S. co-sponsored joint coalition multinational military exercise
designed to train a Thai, U.S. and Singaporean Coalition Task
