Persian Gulf (May 5, 2005) -- The amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) receives stores during a connected replenishment with the Military Sealift Command (MSC) combat stores ship USNS Spica (T-AFS 9). Ashland and Spica are deployed with the Kearsarge Expeditionary Strike Group and are currently conducting Maritime Security Operations in the Persian Gulf.
