Subic Bay, Philippines (Feb. 17, 2006) -- The dock landing ship USS
Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) prepares to moor pier-side. Later that
same day, Harpers Ferry returned to sea along with the amphibious
assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) en route to the Philippine Island of
Leyte. Both ships were ordered into the area to provide much needed
humanitarian assistance for the victims of a devastating
