White Beach, Okinawa (July 9, 2005) -- A small boat assigned to the USS
Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) heads toward White Beach to act as a safety boat
for Armored Amphibious Vehicles (AAV) assigned to the 31st Marine
Expeditionary Unit (MEU) as they approach the well deck of the
amphibious dock landing ship. Harpers Ferry is conducting Amphibious
Specialty Training (AST) with a variety of amphibious craft to stay
