Indian Ocean (Feb. 6, 2006) -- The amphibious dock landing ship USS
Carter Hall (LSD 50) maneuvers for a small boat operation as the Visit,
Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) team prepares to conduct a VBSS
mission. Carter Hall is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment
conducting maritime security operations (MSO). MSO set the
conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as
well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of
