NORFOLK (July 7, 2010) -- The amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter
Hall (LSD 50) departs Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek.
Carter Hall is part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG)
participating in a Composite Unit Training Exercise (COMPTUEX) from off
the East Coast of the United States. COMPTUEX is designed to
provide realistic training environments that closely replicate the
operational challenges routinely encountered during military operations
