Pensacola, Fla. (Sept. 3, 2005) -- The U.S. Navy High Speed Vessel (HSV-2) Swift, loaded with more than 85 pallets of water, hygiene kits, and food, arrives on board Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. More than 9,000 gallons of water was purchased for relief efforts by the U.S. Navy, the remaining water was donated by citizens of Ingleside, Texas. The Navy's involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
