Off the coast of Australia (Aug. 15, 2001) -- The experimental high speed vessel  Joint Venture  (HSV-X1) steams in formation with HMAS Brisbane and HMNZS Canterbury.  The 96-meter , wave-piercing catamaran  is being leased from Incat Australia to experiment with the potential impact of high speed maritime technologies on military operations.  It is manned by a joint U.S. Navy/Army crew of 30 personnel.   U.S. Navy photo courtesy of Incat/Richard Bennett Photography.  (RELEASED)
