Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Calif. (Jan. 17, 2003) -- A Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicle from Assault Craft Unit Five (ACU-5) loaded with elements of the 1st and 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) units, transports its cargo to the awaiting ships of Amphibious Task Force West (ATF-W).  ACU-5 and the 1st and 3rd LAR are being deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the war on terrorism.  U.S. Navy photo by PhotographerÕs Mate 2nd Class Michael D.
