Central Command Area of Responsibility (Jan. 26, 2003) -- The United
States Army Vessel (USAV) Theater Support Vessel-1X
(TSV-1X) Spearhead offloads a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled
Vehicle (HMMWV) to the pier while at a port within the Central Command
Area of Responsibility. The 98 meter-long wave-piercing catamaran
has an average speed of 40+ knots and will be utilized on missions
which can take advantage of its speed and flexibility when transporting
troops and cargo. The Spearhead is forward-deployed in support of
