Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Aug. 11, 2005) -- A U.S. Army Light Medium Tactical Vehicle is loaded onto the U.S. Army ship TSV-1X Spearhead during a capabilities demonstration for local military and civilian leaders on Ford Island at Pearl Harbor. The 98-meter aluminum hulled catamaran, similar to the U.S. Navy's High Speed Vehicle (HSV), can maneuver U.S. Army Soldiers with their equipment, at speeds up to 40 knots, from staging bases to remote locations while maintaining full situational awareness.
