Horn of Africa (Feb. 5, 2003) -- A small rainbow cascades across the 2nd Fleet command and control ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) as she tests her Counter Measure Wash Down System (CMWDS). The wash-down system is used to help the ship combat a Chemical, Biological or Radiological attack. Mount Whitney and embarked Marines are deployed to the Horn of Africa region to participate in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and the continuing Global War on Terrorism.
