Persian Gulf (Dec. 2, 2006) -- A USS Ardent (MCM 12) mineman moves a
Type 1 float that is used to conduct mechanical mine sweeping prior to
a mine countermeasure exercise. The exercise is being conducted in
support of maritime security operations (MSO). MSO help set the
conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as
well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of
