An aviation ordnance technician checks the missiles of an AH-1W Super Cobra one last time before it lifts off to go on a mission, April 7. Another ordnance Marine keeps an eye on the pilots to ensure they are keeping their hands off the controls and in the air as a safety measure. All the Marines are from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 167, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, from Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., which is in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
