Strait of Hormuz (April 19, 2005) - An AH-1W Super Cobra sets on the flight deck after being refueled aboard the amphibious transport dock USS Duluth (LPD 6) during routine flight operations in the Strait of Hormuz. The Super Cobra is assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron One Six Five (HMM-165), with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit Aviation Combat Element. Duluth is currently transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, signifying the end of their deployment to the Persian Gulf and the last leg of her final underway period as a commissioned Navy vessel. Upon completion of the deployment, Duluth is scheduled to be decommissioned ending a 39-year life cycle as a U.S. Navy ship. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 1st Class Aaron Ansarov (RELEASED)
