Atlantic Ocean (July 1, 2004) -- The guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64) turns hard to starboard after completing a replenishment at sea with the fast combat support ship USS Detroit (AOE 4).  Gettysburg is forward deployed, as part of the USS Enterprise (CV 65) Carrier Strike Group (CSG). The Enterprise CSG is one of seven participating in Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the simultaneous deployment of seven aircraft strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces.
