Pacific Ocean (June 9, 2005) -- The Japanese Maritime Self Defense (JDS) force vessel JDS Makinami (DDG 112) steams ahead as Arleigh Burke-Class guided missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) follows in formation during a passing exercise with Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).
