Pacific Ocean (May 31, 2006) - Aviation intermediate maintenance
department's (AIMD) jet shop tests an F/A-18F Super Hornet jet engine
on the fantail aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Currently under way in
the 7th Fleet area of responsibility, Kitty Hawk demonstrates power
projection and sea control as the U.S. Navy's only permanently forward
