PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (July 8, 2008) -- The aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) heads out to open sea from Naval Station Pearl Harbor to participate in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2008 maritime exercise. RIMPAC is the world's largest multinational exercise and is scheduled biennially by the U.S. Pacific Fleet. Participants include the U.S., Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, the Netherlands, Peru, Republic of Korea, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
