Aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Oct. 21, 2003 -- Boatswain's mates assigned to USS Kitty Hawk's (CV 63) deck department lower a Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boat (RHIB), call sign "Wilbur," while performing coxswain qualifications during small boat operations. Kitty Hawk's RHIBs, "Orville" and "Wilbur," are named after the famous Wright Brothers. During the qualifications, Sailors test boat performance and become familiar with driving, loading and unloading procedures. Kitty Hawk is America's oldest active warship, named after the city near the historic Wright Brothers' first powered flight.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Jason R.
