Aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Oct. 22, 2003 -- Crewmembers work to remove clogs from the flush deck nozzles on the flight deck of USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) during sea trials. Flush deck nozzles shoot water up from the deck removing any chemical and biological contaminates that may be on the flight deck.  Kitty Hawk is America's oldest active warship, and the world's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Jason C.
