Yokosuka, Japan (Mar. 28, 2005) -- The conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) returns to her forward deployed operating base, Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan, after completing a regularly scheduled underway period. While underway, Kitty Hawk participated in Reception, Staging, Onward movement, and Integration (RSO&I) and Foal Eagle exercises. RSO&I is a complex multi-phase exercise conducted annually, tailored to train, test, and demonstrate United States and Republic of Korea force projection and deployment capabilities.
