Atlantic Ocean (Feb. 27, 2007) -- Sailors aboard USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) conduct a tribute honoring the ship's 38 years of distinguished commissioned service while steaming toward Boston for a farewell port visit. Kennedy's arrival marks its last port visit and will afford the people of Boston the opportunity to say goodbye to a ship and crew with whom they have maintained close relations since the ship's christening in 1967. Kennedy is scheduled to decommission in Mayport, Fla., March 23, 2007. U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Tommy Gilligan (RELEASED)
