Souda Bay, Crete (May 23, 2006) -- The mountains surrounding Souda Bay,
Crete, are visible from the fantail of the flight deck of the nuclear
powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) as it approaches the
pier for a port visit. Enterprise and embarked Carrier Air Wing One
(CVW-1) are currently on a scheduled six-month deployment in support of
the Global War on Terrorism. While in the Naval Forces Europe Area of
Responsibility, the Strike Group will conduct training and theater
security cooperation engagements with several countries including
Bulgaria, Germany, Croatia, and Greece. U.S. Navy photo by
