Persian Gulf (Aug. 8, 2005) -- From left, The guided missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59), the Military Sealift Command (MSC) fast combat support ship USNS Bridge (T-AOE 10) and the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) perform a connected replenishment at sea (CONREP) for transferring fuel and supplies. The Nimitz Strike Group is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment and is participating in Maritime Security Operations (MSO). MSO set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations.
