Hong Kong (Aug. 6, 2003) -- The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson  (CVN 70) anchors in Hong Kong IslandÕs harbor for a scheduled liberty call. The Vinson Carrier Strike Group is currently on an extended deployment in the western Pacific, during an extensive maintenance period for the forward deployed USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) currently in dry dock in Yokosuka, Japan.
