(Feb. 01, 2005) -- The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and embarked Carrier Air Wing Nine (CVW-9) depart Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, Calif., to begin a regularly scheduled deployment.
