At sea aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt  (CVN 71) Jan. 9, 2003 -- Two aircraft are transferred from the ship's hangar bay to the flight deck on one of four of the ship's aircraft elevators.  Elevators are used constantly to move Carrier Air Wing Eight  (CVW-8) aircraft around the ship.  CVW-8 is embarked aboard Roosevelt and is currently conducting training missions in the Atlantic Ocean.
