San Diego, Calif. (Mar. 1st, 2005) -- The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) pulls into San Diego, Calif., following a deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean. Lincoln and embarked Carrier Air Wing Two (CVW-2) supported Operation Unified Assistance, the humanitarian relief effort to aid the victims of the tsunami that struck Southeast Asia during their Western Pacific deployment. Lincoln pulled into San Diego to drop-off the Sailors and Marines assigned to CVW-2 and then make its transit up the coast to her homeport of Everett, Wash.
