Hampton Roads, Va. (Dec. 17, 2005) -- After completing sea trials, USS George Washington (CVN 73) returns to her homeport in Norfolk, Va.  Sea trials help determine the shipís material readiness and ability to rejoin the Fleet as a fully operational unit.  The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier recently completed a 10-and-half month Docked Planned Incremental Availability at the Northrop Grumman Newport News shipyard.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Michael D.
