Caribbean Sea (May 11, 2006) -- Armada Republica Colombia (ARC) Caldas (FM 52) stands plane guard as two F/A 18 Super Hornets launch simultaneously off the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). The George Washington Carrier Strike group is participating in Partnership of the Americas, a maritime training and readiness deployment of the U.S. Naval forces with Caribbean and Latin American countries in support of U.S. Southern Command's (SOUTHCOM) objectives for enhanced maritime security.
