At sea aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73) Feb. 2, 2002 -- U.S. Air Force Maj. Philip Malebranche, from Virginia Beach, VA, makes a carrier arrested landing aboard ship an F/A-18 Hornet strike fighter assigned to the Fighter Squadron One Zero Six (VFA-106).  Maj. Malebranche is part of an Air Force to Navy exchange program, and is currently operating VFA-106 to complete his carrier-based qualifications.  George Washington is currently conducting fleet carrier qualifications (CQ) off the Virginia coast.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class J.
