ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 20, 2007) -- Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) conducts a routine test fire of the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS). CIWS is a 20mm rapid-fire Gatling gun capable of accurately firing more than 3,000 rounds per minute in defense against anti-ship missiles or aircraft.
