SAN DIEGO (May 3, 2007) -- The Navy's newest surface ship, USS New Orleans (LPD 18), transits through San Diego Bay prior to arriving in her new homeport of San Diego. The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, built and commissioned in her namesake city, is the first of the new class of ship to be homeported on the West Coast.
