Kodiak Island, Alaska (Aug 13, 2005) -- The amphibious dock landing
ship USS Ogden (LPD 5) arrives in Alaska for a port visit during the
joint exercise Alaska Shield/Northern Edge 2005. Alaska Shield/Northern
Edge Ô05 is the largest homeland defense/security exercise ever
conducted in Alaska. This exercise is the first opportunity within the
state to integrate local, state and federal government response to a
series of simulated emergencies including natural disasters, terrorist
