BALABAC, Republic of Philippines (Feb. 26, 2008 ) Landing craft air
cushion (LCAC) 52, assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, Detachment
Western Pacific, transits Sailors and Marines, along with their
equipment during the bilateral exercise Balikatan 2008 (BK-08) between
the United States and the Republic of Philippines. During BK-08
humanitarian assistance and training activities, military service
members from the United States and the government of the Republic of
the Philippines work together to improve maritime security and ensure
humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts are efficient and
