Central Command Area Of Responsibility (Feb. 12, 2003)-- A Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC) from USS Tarawa (LHA 1) Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) off-loads a M1-A1 Abrams Tank on a cement parking pad for future operations. USS Tarawa Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) uses LCAC and other conventional landing craft and helicopters to move Marine assault forces ashore.
