Landing Craft Air Cushioned-82 from Assault Craft Unit-5 lands at Arta
Plage, Djibouti, bringing Marines and Sailors of the 13th Marine
Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) ashore from the USS
Germantown. Elements of the 13th MEU Service Support Group,
the combat service support element of the 13th MEU, and Battalion
Landing Team 1/1, the ground combat element of the 13th MEU, joined
Marines already ashore from the USS Ogden to conduct live-fire training
ranges and support Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa missions
during the month of November.
