PO HANG, Korea (Nov. 11, 2007) -- Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 90,
from the "Dragons" of Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 Det. Western Pacific,
rides in the surf to the beach at Po Hang. LCACs from ACU-5 spent the
day transiting to and from the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD
2) in order to embark U.S. and Republic of Korea Marines. Essex is the
lead ship of the only forward-deployed U.S. Expeditionary Strike Group
and serves as the flagship for CTF 76, the Navy's only forward-deployed
amphibious force commander. Task Force 76 is headquartered at White
Beach Naval Facility, Okinawa, Japan, with a detachment in Sasebo,
