S. Irvine, assigned to Assault Craft Unit One (ACU-1), directs a
Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC), assigned to Assault Craft Unit Five
(ACU-5), safely ashore at Kuwait Naval Base. The LCAC, from the
amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), will receive cargo from the
31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, which has been deployed to Iraq since
