Java Sea (July 26, 2005) - A pair of Landing Craft, Air Cushions (LCAC) make their way to the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) with personnel and equipment from the Indonesian Marine Corps during the Indonesia phase of exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT). Indonesia is the fourth phase of CARAT this year. CARAT is a regularly scheduled series of bilateral military training exercises with several Southeast Asia nations designed to enhance interoperability of the respective sea services.
