Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Calif. (Jan. 17, 2003) -- Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicles from Assault Craft Unit Five (ACU-5) stand by to transport their cargo of Light Armored Vehicles (LAV's) from elements of 1st and 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) units.  ACU-5 and the 1st and 3rd LAR are being deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the war on terrorism.  U.S. Navy photo by PhotographerÕs Mate 2nd Class Michael D.
