Arabian Gulf (July 7, 2004) - An Assault Craft Unit Four (ACU-4)
Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) transports elements of the 24th Marine
Expeditionary Unit (MEU) from the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge
(LHD 3) to the Kuwait Naval Base. Kearsarge is surge deployed to
transport elements of the 24th MEU to the Central Command Area of
Responsibility in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and the
