SAN DIEGO (Aug. 27, 2007) -- The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John
C. Stennis (CVN 74) transits Coronado Bay as she arrives at Naval Air
Station North Island. Stennis will disembark Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9
before continuing on to her homeport of Bremerton, Wash. The John C.
Stennis Carrier Strike Group returned after a 7.5-month deployment
promoting peace, regional cooperation and supporting the global war on
